In this third installment of the interview with Captain Calhoun, he relates the story of how, while in command of the USS Dewey, he and his fleet were caught in a typhoon in the South Pacific. He and his crew subsequently provided gunfire support to the Marines in Iwo Jima with a damaged hull sustained during the storm.
