Chuck Mayne joined the US Army in June 1946. He received his boot camp training at Camp Lee, Virginia. Mayne served as Chief Jailor for the Allied Sugamo Japanese Prison Camp, Ikebukuro, Japan. He was responsible for 24 major war criminals including General Tojo. Mayne also guarded Tokyo Rose while she was a prisoner at Sugamo Camp. Mayne was discharged from the US Army at Buffalo, New York. |
