Notes 1988.6.96 Civilian employees driving military truck, c. 1942 Civilian employees in the defense department at Camp Davis, as on other American bases, were authorized to drive military vehicles while performing their duties. Ethel Botesky and her friend "Fluckie" used this U.S. Army jeep while employees of Camp Davis, Holly Ridge, N.C.
