Description Pouch, Magazine (A) w/ 2 magazines (B-C);for German mp40 submachine gun; 3 olive drab green canvas pockets w/ leather closure tabs & belt loops; small side pocket to hold the magazine loading tool;["Nazi eagle]/WaA446" stamped into 1 loop, "eyp/41" stamped into other loop;2 30-round 9mm magazines(B-C), both marked "M.P.38u.40" on proper left near bottom; (B) has smooth sides & marked "ayf 41/...";(C) has fluted sides & marked "ayf 42/..."; top back of (A) stamped "MP 38 u 41."

Notes 1972.17.3 Magazine pouch, c.1941 This german MP40 submachine gun magazine pouch held two-thirty round 9mm magazines of ammunition for a German Mp40 submachine gun. Staff Sgt. George Duvall, obtained this pouch near Ober-Otterbach, Germany while a member of the U.S. Army's 11th Engineers, 36, Division, in March 1945.
