A canteen. A bayonet. A letter to a sweetheart at home, thousands of
miles away. A book of ration cards. The objects we use on a daily
basis will tell future generations of what our life is like.
The items in this section offer us a better understanding of the
day to day activities of Cape Fear area soldiers and civilians
during World War II. These materials, from weapons to photographs to
uniforms, tell the stories of the War in a unique and powerful way.
